Ok. I finally downloaded the demo, and I am really impressed with the program. I do freelance work for a couple of local studios. I primarily use Lightwave. After just about 20 minutes with Vue, I can see that I need to add it to my arsenal. I love the vegetation. Something that is hard to do LW. Hopefully soon I can get up to speed with the program somewhat and maybe contribute something to the community here, which I might add is very impressive. A lot of activity for Vue here on Renderosity. Donnie

Something which is not really relevant here. Anyway. Last week I had a practicant for one week. 17 years old, she had never seen any 3D software before. I gave her a crash course of 15 minutes. And without any manual (i had it at home for midnight bed reading :-)) ), only with two beginners tutorials (thanks Guitta), she was able - from the first day on - to create really good, self designed images. Impressive. If anybody is interested i can show you one or two results here.

You got it Baby!

Vue impresses me more and more every day. The deeper you get into it the better it gets. The material and function editors have no limit to what you can do, and it's easy to do.

Can you show me some of her results? I bought Vue and just got it today...I haven't done anything impressive yet with Vue. But when I do, I will post it in my Gallery. Oh! And I love it so far! Johannah

Well, this was Nicola's result after the first day - as i said, without any knowledge of any 3D software before.

Wow she did a great job! Much better than my first tries. And she met madasatadpole's antelopes, lol!

Well, these are Lyne's wonderful impalas, the cousins of madasatadpoles antelopes! And of course Lyne's egrets in the first one. Nicola decided not to go on with Vue. She was not patient enough to wait for a render to be finished. The rest of the week she played with PowerPoint (very strange!!). She needs that for school, more than Vue. Well, these teens, always so rational!
