Subject: Best UV mapper program?

I use UV Mapper all the time. Any of you all use anything more "high-end"? I wish I had one that maps without distortion. I wish there was an easier way. Seem to spend more time doing the mapping then anything.

hi lynn did you know that steve is working on an improved version of uvmapper pro? Its to be free to all currently registered uv mapper pro folks. This one (with luck) will offer a way to better control that distortion (it has been requested as a feature). Add your voice in the uvmapper forum at uvmapper.com. there are tons of new things being done as improvements. It looks totally amazing! :) BT

I have Bodypaint and Deep paint with texture weapons, but as good as they are they don't come close to uvmapper pro for mapping....Steve

I have Deep paint with texture weapons and 9 times out of ten I use uvmapper... Deep paint is really slow with .obj files and alot of the times when you export it screws up the mesh.. You would think that for the money, it would be alot better than it is....

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.

If you can't eat it or play with it,

just pee on it and walk away. :-)

deep paint is great for painting but totaly screws up the jp's when you save a remapped obj.for props that's ok but for figures and conformables remapping is no good in deep paint.

Thats what I thought. I've played with alot of the ones mentioned but they are so hard to figure out. UV Mapper is simple but gives me alot more control.

Ultimate Unwrap 3D has some nice uv-mapping features, and it supports more file formats than just Wavefront .obj.
