I know that this is the wrong forum but by the lack of posts in the zbrush forum I thought that i would ask here as well, and it IS sort of poser related... When I'm using the masking tool in ZBrush 1.23 (to mask out areas of the obj that i'm working on) at first it works fine, going on with the brush, but the next time i use it instead of brushing on it makes something like a selection box which when released drops an area of mask onto the obj? If anyone can help i'd appreciate it... it's just so damn annoying!

Check your stroke type and make sure its set to dots and not dragrect.

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?

Don't start a stroke outside the object you're working on, or you'll get a rectangle lasso.

wipe,It's a shame that the Zbrush forum here isn't very active,(as that has got to be the best program for creating MT for Poser). If the two answer didn't solve your problem.....go to ZBrush Central. That is part of Pixology web site, and is just as active and helpful as the Poser forum is here.Daz even has a tut or two on their site. Thanks for all your help, I figured out what was wrong. When i changed the transform tool from grow to move, then the mask turned to a rectangular lasso, then went back to the brush when i changed the tool back to Grow. I guess I was being a little lazy, but thanks for your suggestions.
