Can someone help me with this one? 3dworld mag have given away victoria 1 on the front of there magazine. Trouble is ,is when I open poser I can't find the daz people section in the figures library! I've followed all instructions regarding the installation, copied all files to the runtime folder but when ever I open poser, there's nothing there! I'm sure I'm doing something really stupid, but would someone give us a bit of help..ps I'm running poser 4 on windows xp pro...

Been Awhile but here goes.... Go into your Runtime, then Library, then Character - Do you see a file folder there called Daz People Or Zygote People? There should be a file with cr2 as extension (believe vicki or victoria is first part of file name) if you installed correctly. Where the cr2 files are in the character folders don't matter but the geometries file folder has to be exact. If the cr2 file is there you can open it using Notepad and find out which Geometries folder the obj should be in. I am afraid I got rid of my version 1 with the version 2 and 3 so am working on bad memory cells :0

Would probably be under zygote, look all the way down in your figures under zygote. Marque

The freebie was VLo, so it should be DAZ People. Try doing a Windows file search for Vic*.cr2 and make sure it's a)there and b) in the right place.

Depending what version of Poser 4 your using (Older Metacreations or Curious Labs) the installer might have accidentally stuck it in the wrong spot...never happened to me with V1 Lo but ya never know.

Try reinstalling it. Wait while it looks for the Poser exe. And then check what path it is taking to install. See if it really found the right exe. If you're patched 4.03 from Metacreations-- the exe might have installed it in Curious Labs-- but there was no runtime there on my computer. Everything ran out of the Metacreations folder. I had a heck of a time when I was first installing. And you won't be able to tell from your splash screen. It'll say Curious Labs if its patched. Check what you usually see in figures. Then go to both programs and check what's in each runtime. You can drag the Daz folders over to the correct runtimes if you have to-- make sure you get them all, especially the geometries one.
