Subject: Question on Vickie's clothing to Koshini in P5

Harbynger ( ) posted Sat, 19 April 2003 at 10:41 AM ยท edited Wed, 08 January 2025 at 1:50 PM

I'm sorry folks but after doing an extensive search on the subject and reading everything I'm still very lost on this. I don't like to bug people until after I try everything I can to figure it out. But alas I'm at wits end.

First off, does anyone know where I can find this "mannikin". Is it still needed? I've grabbed all the other files mentioned in the various posts.

Is there an outline of what I should do posted somewhere, or if some patient soul please post a quick step by step?

Thank you very much for your time and for reading my post.

Hi Harbynger, I think "mannikin" was available on LadyLittleFoxes web site, but I just checked and it is no longer there. Perhaps if you write to LadyLittlefox, she can send it to you. (: I never got around to using it, so I can't tell you much about it. I don't use P5,(P4 and ProPack) but when I put Vickie's clothes on Koshini I just scale them down to fit her, and if and when possible, I make her Body parts invisible. Her arms are not the same length as Vickies, that is, the shoulder to forearm, forearm to hands are longer, so when you bend them, they tend to stick out from the clothing. Sleeveless garments work the best, but tweeking here and there also works. It's basically, trial and error. Also, I pose her first, then dress her up, that way I can arrange the clothes to look as though they fit, if you look at her at another camera angle, parts of her will be showing. That's all I can think of right now, but if you have anymore questions........I will be around. (: Genny

The CR2 is on the 3rd party's page now. gotta rebuild my site... whimpers. 3dart>>3rd Party Should get you there. Will worn you that its not entirely reliable since she's so much smaller than Vicky... actually easier to scale from everything I've seen. Grins Listen to Genny on this one, she's a real gem at this stuff ;) Giggles and hugs the Genny!!

@Genny:
I've seen what cool stuff you've done with Koshini and wish I had the patience to do all that stuff. Tried it last nite on my laptop at work (naughty me) and gave up. Seems everytime I scale the clothing down and conform 'em the butt stays up in the air. Ya think if I mess with the JP dials I might get somewhere?(Hmmm...now where did I put those tuts?)

@LadyLittlefox:
First off: Love her, lover her, love her. Savin' me pennies to get more stuff for her. Looking foward to more stuff from you.
About the manikkin: the cr2 appears to be linked to a "LordNakagawa/Vic3" folder in geometries where a "BodyV2.obj" is being called upon. I searched freestuff here at R'osity and the closet thing I can find was somthing called "V2 to V3 Conversion tool" but , alas, the link was dead. Any ideas where a fella can find this thing? (crossing fingers)

Thanks to both of you for replying to my cry for help.
Off to get some sleep...brain.. shutting...dooooooown...

Thanks for the compliment, Littlefox. (: @Harbynger: I don't know if it is just my Poser but once I click "conform" to, the clothing stays "Stuck" and I can't move them anymore? So, what I do is: Pose Koshini using one of the poses in my poser, "Pose" folder. Then I add the what-ever clothing item I want to use, and select it, and use the same pose that I applied to Koshini to the clothing. Then I scale it down using the dials, and position it onto her body. Hope that helps. (: Genny

@ LittleFox: Thanks again. Didn't have much time today but tonight should be quiet at work leaving me plenty of time to play around with it.

@Genny: Now why didn't I think of that? Can't wait to get to work and try all this new stuff out. Whoah there's something wrong about that last sentence. Maybe I'm coming down with something?

Thanks once again to both of youse. :)

LOL, Harbynger.......I work nights too so I can relate. (: My only problem is,I don't have a laptop to take with me, and the only computers I have access to and use, only have job related stuff on them or of course, company propaganda. At my job things come in spurts.......sometimes there is nothing to do all night and other times, I am running my arse off! Anyways, if you come up with something, don't forget to share it with us. (: Genny
