Here's my attempt at making a "sattelite photo" of Tolkien's Middle Earth. Any suggestions?

Hi there I must say the picture is very nice. There is something strange about the water effects though (eg. the river) cant quite place what though further than that a great image

How much of this did you do in photoshop? Like GOX said, something is weird about the rivers...maybe too blue.

100%of the image was done in Photoshop. I've since revised it so that the rivers don't stand out quite so much...

... from a low-Middle-earth orbit ... I agree, the rivers are still too wide, and maybe more of Tolkien's 3D terrain to stand out. Hey, I can see the Shire from here ...
