heh, I like lots of movies. However, if I had to pick favs, I'd have to go with the following, in no particular order.... The Big Labowski Lord of the rings (the first two both rocked, waiting for the third) Matrix The Rocky Horror Picture Show (No I am not gay) Monty python and the Holy Grail (I like most monty python flicks, but the Holy grail tops them all imo)
Midnight express, Scum, The Firm with Gary Oldman not Tom Cruise, and the battle scenes in Saving Private Ryan- just blew me a way, Oh and Gallipoli and The Shining........ Right thats it no more even if I think of others,

Not in order: James Bond, any but Never Say Never and A View to a Kill. The Prophecy, but not II or III. The Rocket Gibralter Harry Potter And the Philospher's Stone And Chamber of Secrets (Have serious reservations about Prisoner when I found out that Wood wouldn't be back.) Kevin Smith's 5 part Trilogy, and yes I include Mall Rats in that.
There is a subcategory of films: films excellent visually, but not that hot as films per se. I'd put The Cell (with Jennifer Lopez) Vidocq (with Gerard Depardieu) into that category. Anybody who wants to do anything visually would do much worse than seeing the therapy sequences in The Cell or the laboratory sequences in Vidocq. Stunning, especially The Cell.

gotta say I look at lighting, textures and such too. Kinda like in the days of Tetris. I would be at a stop light, looking at buildings and think ... if I turned this one this way, and flipped that one that way and .... then the light would turn green and the guy behind me would honk his horn ... just as I was ready to clear a line. LOL
No real order Clockwork orange Slingblade ( i like biscuts!) Blue velvet (anything by david lynch) caddyshack (it's in the hole !) It's a wonderful life

mmm let's see my 5 favorite movies in no particular order, The Princess Bride Matrix LOTR (all) The Wrath of Kahn Aliens If I answered this tomorrow the list probably would be slightly different as I like so many other movies too. And I'm always looking at how scenes are lighted, shot etc. Can't help myself, been doing it ever since I worked on a claymation movie in the 80's. But now I can take what I learn and use it in Bryce. ;) Cie
Rayraz YOU gotta see Close encounters, if you like sci fi you'll love it.

Glad to see that... The Fifth Element Close Encounters of the Third kind Dark City Jacobs Ladder and Gladiator ...where included in this post by others. There favorites of mine to. Hey Rocher, yes, I must admit that I to also find myself looking at textures, lighting, models and such, but not just in movies. I find myself looking at every-day things and wondering... now how the heck would I model, texture and light that. I'm totally infected with CG, as I'm sure many of this community's members are. 8)

There's too many movies that I like. Depends on what mood I'm in n' stuff as to what I'll watch. I'm suprised nobody's mentioned Clerks (or anything with Jay and Silent Bob lurking around, for that matter) or Office Space yet... I'd go on, but I've seen a lot of my other fav's mentioned already.
