Subject: What's a good Motion Control / BVH rig?

I had a blast using BVH scripts in Poser, so now I want to make my own! Trouble is, I can't find MC rigs or human movement interfaces anywhere. They do sell these things, right?

Yes, they do. You might as well sell your house to buy one though. They typically range between 50 and 150 thousand dollars. Evo

These memebers aren't yank'in yer chain tedbragg, there havn't been any sold right next to the Playstation aisle yet...How much are you willing to "Invest." On a large scale this is done by renting a studio, full of about 100,000-500,000 of equipment, at about $100/hr. I suspect this was how Mike 2 was created(With a 3D Scanner(Those rigs are great for faces!) The next achievable level of equipment runs at about 50,000. But keep in mind the $50,000 equipment also has about $50,000 in extras you can buy. Many of these peices will function on thier own, but still cost $5,000 to $15,000. Ok now for a breath of reality. Lately the market trend has been to sell software that will track data with the use of 2-4 camcorders! I highly doubt this will be as effective as the magnetic sensors, and require almost as much studio time as just importing one of these videos into your background and then doing it by hand, but for $35 you can't go wrong it'll be hard to go wrong, see the attached link! There is even a free demo!
