Well, this should be a slightly different topic of discussion. I found myself now using Vue AND Bryce together. Not only have I composed some scenes in each for use in the same book, but because I find Vue's terrain editor to be slightly lacking in the variety of terrains it can generate, I've started creating terrains in Bryce and exporting them to Vue. The nice thing is that this method allows me to create whole valleys or stretchs of dunes in one terrain. So, at least for me, the programs are not mutually exclusive and anyone that has already purchased both should feel better that Bryce was not a waste. I'll post some pics soon enough. Will

personally I have never understood software rivalry, they are just tools aren't they? I own both and also find they have different strengths. I followed a thread on a forum recently that was started by the rumour that Eon where thinking of buying Bryce, People seemed to be getting quite emotional about this.all I could find whithin myself was indifference.after all software becomes dated doesn't it? Who can tell what we will be using in ten years time.

Software rivalry shows passion and I think it's a good thing. If you are indifferent there's no push to make products better.
