The model is a symmetrical lattice made from rj001s' "The Shape" which I filled in. the plates on top are the shape cut up, applied to lattice. the rest is modeled in bryce. The body signature is a lattice also. All mats are stock bryce except the marble which came from the Maya site. The Hi res version is at the link

Cool for sure! I like this cause I can use my imagination to figure out what this instrument would sound like. My guess is it would sound like a Citar.. You know the Indian guitar thingy? .. Thats just my guess ..

Now we just gotta wait 'til Renderosity opens up an alternate site dedicated to eastern musical instrument models - Renderositar.com!

Oh, and judging by the reflection, I think the wire's flying.

Yeah, It's curved upward. Renderositar. Ravi Shankar(not sure on the spelling) would be proud.

I think Leonard Nimoy as Mr Spock played one of those! Like to hear B.B. pick on that - Lucille willing. Exellent!

I plan on posting these items and possibly a couple more in free stuff, Yet the challenge with the Thingy/Guitar would be posing a poser with it. ;)
