Just read something a few minutes ago about a program named DAZ Studio Base. It appears that it will be released as a public beta, has anyone else read about this. Can you tell me anthing more about it? Thanks for any information, Marty

Attached Link: http://www.daz3d.com/pages/dp/press/press_releases/studioannounce.html

The link has all the available info, so if that's where you read it, you know just about as much as anyone else here. If not, follow the link. There are a few other comments/suggestions kicking around in this forum. Search for "DAZ" and you should find a few threads.

If I read it right, the first version won't let you save?

I believe so. I guess the idea would be to set everything up in Poser or whatever, port it to DS for rendering. Although, the ability to do other things kinda kills the usefulness with no Save facility.

The second beta should have a save facility, the final base version definately will. At least that's the way I understand it. Baz

I was reading today in last months computer arts magazine (it say it will Victoria on next months CD :) that the beta is available now, next to the 3 pane V3 image. Of course it isn't but never let the facts get in the way of a good story right? :) I look forward to it's release... later jb

I've also heard it's only low-res Vickie.

Probably when Computer Arts went to press Daz was saying that Studio would be available in April. Magazines aren't websites - there is a long lead time.
