After decades of conflict the people of Arcaelia celebrate the first galactic peace in over 100 years. Lord-General Balister enjoys a quite drink with the Arcaelian ambassador on the veranda of his lake side home as the fireworks light the sky heralding the beginning of a new era of peace.

"Thingy" in almost everything, fireworks and newspaper modeled in wings3d. Wanted to fix a few things but didn't have time so I just added the bottle...which is multiple thingy terrains spun around a circular path. Minor color correction in PS.

Excellent render. It brings to mind the ole cliche.. "If it aint one "thing" it's another."

These are the four models I used for the fireworks. I think I put a radial light near the center on two of them in the pic, but then just selected a basic color as the mat for each and rendered with AA turned off. They're easy enough to make in wings but I suppose I could make them freebies or just send them to anyone interested.

Nice image, and yes please I would love those fireworks. Last time I wanted firworks in an image I ended up postworking them, with less than creditable results.

Thanks for the tip on creating the fireworks. They look great and so does your entry.
