Innovator: You're right, of course. I was very blunt and I apologise. This piece of work deserves more than just one line. The fact is I sometimes find it hard to string a load of words together when attempting to make a comment. So I'm sure you'll appreciate this message. The whole concept (A cathedral) is exceptionally well thought out, designed and executed. The pillars and their Shape/thingy internal buttresses give a masterful if not stark feeling of strength in their support to the roof and upper works. The windows too, with shape/thingy frames are surprising in their design along with the shape/thingy stained-glass which I am ashamed to say, I almost didn't notice. The door is sadly, a bit plain and perhaps had it been open, even just a little, would have added another dimension to the end of the building, making it feel less of an enclosed and perhaps clostrophobic space. The floor, as I said in my last post, is annoying because it is so much at odds with the rest of the building. The black and white squares blurr into the distance and take one's eye almost violently away from the beauty of the stonework. More pleasing and perhaps surprising, would have been the use of the shape/thingy as a basis for a tiled floor, but perhaps in a less stark colour scheme. Becschm: I hope will understand that my first comment (#7) was not meant as an insult...just a straight from the hip comment. What I have written here is a good as it gets from me and is not meant as a sarcastic reply to Innovator's reprimand. Regards The Bryster

Thanks to all who made positive comments, and thanks Bryster for your comments as well, positive and "constructive". I agree that improvements could be made. I ran out of time on this, and maybe will work on it more later. Then again, if the next challenge has an intriguing theme, I may just move on. The "thingy" thing was a great monthly challenge idea.
