Subject: Poll for Niles and anyone interested in Mil Girl morphs

capsces ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 2:59 PM · edited Sat, 25 January 2025 at 3:08 PM

I am working on some Mil Girl morphs, and want to morph clothing to fit the body morphs. What I would like to know is which currently available clothing item(s) would be most useful? Preferably an item or items which would be suitable for male or female figures. Suggestions for both the preschool and preteen would be great. Thanks, Beth

How about Xena's Anime Suit for both or any of Koshini's clothes? Tried morphing them myself but I haven't the talent to do so!

dragongirl ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 3:07 PM

Well - not suitable for both sexes, but you have GOT to do Alterego3D's Petals! :-) One of the most-used outfits for the MillGirls. :-) Jim Burton's Little Maids too.

Xena makes great basic clothing models - any of hers would be wonderful for your new characters.

Hi Tamil, I love Xena's Anime outfit, and would definitely consider it if it fit the girls. However, I think I was unclear. I just want to add body morphs I have created to items that are designed to fit the girls. I don't think the Anime outfit fits them, and for me to get it to might be a bit more than I am capable of. Perhaps Xena will see this thread and consider modifying the costume to fit the girls. It would definitely be cute on them. Beth

Hi Beth! Any of Sprinter's outfits and someone I thought put out a catsuit for the preteen. Stormrage put out a couple of outfits too. Also Bat and Marck.

I would guess that everyone bought the MilGirl's starter clothing kit Beth. That may be a good starting point. Great to hear you're going to do something with these characters!

DG, are you talking about the little outfit at PoserPros? It is very cute. I've had my eye on it for a long time. I will likely get and morph it if the creator does not mind, but I would like to initially morph something that will work for males and females. The Little Maids are very cute as well. Beth

hauksdottir ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 4:05 PM

I avoided buying the milkids because they look too too much like Vicki in a child's body (and I've found a lot of this disturbing). Even the little boys look like Vicky! However, the Japanese modelers working as part of the TenTen Fair project have made some millennium kids which actually resemble children with some very well-done clothes (including basics such as sneakers and t-shirts). They have provided a compelling reason to buy the milkids... and more morphs for their clothing would quite possibly make a lot of people happy to put children in their renders. Carolly

Alterego3D's Petals - is at PoserPros and so are all of Xena's anime outfit models too. . . . if that helps. :-)

Blazerwiccan ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 4:39 PM

Ohh Petals Clothing by Mada at Poser Pros, Another not really for both but Fever Fashion Jessy by Sprinter here is a wonderful pack for the Girls as well. Those are two that I love most.

... I'd like to see more ordinary "peripheral" stuff that seems to be lacking, but cna be made unisex to an extent - socks (for some reason I can't seem to get a decent pair modelled), shoes (err, not high heels or fetish-type boots, but ordinary shoes and sandals), jackets, hair (sure, you can fit Vicky hair and scale it, but made-for hair fits much better and you don't have to lock the actor), belts and sashes, jewelry, accessories, like backpacks and sundry... lots of stuff here that the Milkids could use, but currently don't have much of, if at all. Sergemarck made a wonderful set of Milgirl clothes a while back, but unfortunately most of them are gone now. /P

Looks like I missed the point here. I thought Beth was asking for clothing that could be multi-gender, which is why I suggested the base clothing pack. There is alot of clothing for the girls, not so much for the boys, and there isn't much difference between the boys and girls mesh.... other than morphs I believe. :)) Whatever you decide to do Beth, I'm sure it will be spectacular!

Thanks for all the input, everyone. Carolly, I hope I am succeeding in creating a few faces that will make the kids look less like Victoria. You can see a few of them at the link. Currently, I have 42 new faces for the preschooler and 35 for the preteen. As soon as I get a monitor that isn't green, I'll try to post some more images. Beth

Judith, you are correct. I am interested in clothing that may be used for either gender. I have morphed the girls so they may be either male or female (no genitalia though), and want to have at least one item of clothing which will fit them as soon as they are released. Of course, it doesn't hurt to know what everyone would like to have morphed to fit them as well. :) Beth

Very true. I am looking forward to this release!

Indeed - aside from some minor items (jewelry and sashes), most of what I listed could be used for either sex... generic jogging jackets and tennis shoes can be used either way, as can birkenstock-like sandals (aside form the pair DAZ already has out :) ) I apologize if I made it sound like it was just the girls. /P

judith ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 5:24 PM

I agree! What would be cute would be long pants and a loose shirt, leaving options for transmapping to capri pants and a crop top. (just my opinion) And why is it that no one ever made catsuit for that mesh?

There are a couple of catsuits for the Milgirl mesh... The Misty Blossom package in the marketplace (Jack K's character morph) works quite nicely (and includes a catsuit, albeit with breast morphs), as well as one in Faeriewylde, I think... (not 100% sure about that one though) /P

TamiL ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 6:01 PM

Love the faces. Can't wait for these. The petals outfit would be a definite plus for the girls and so would FF Jessy's clothes. Some of PoserWorlds clothes for the Mil girls could possibly be either gender also. Good luck!

SWAMP ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 8:15 PM

Is anyone aware that you can transfer morphs from the Mil Girl to Viky clothes? Of course you have to resize and deal with different Joint Paremeters...but depending on what type of clothes your trying to fit, that may not be a big issue. SWAMP

Penguinisto ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 9:44 PM

That's possible? Tailor always threw a big ol' hissy fit when I tried that... OTOH, I do know that some Vicky stuff does fit to the milgirls, but only if you beat the unholy dog piss out of the article of clothing. /P

SWAMP ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 10:27 PM

Well the Tailor won't let you transfer morphs directly from the Mill Girl to Vicky clothes. But what I found out is,if I first transfer morphs from the Mil Girl to Vic2 useing Morph Manager...I can then load that Vic2(donor)cr2 into Tailor, and then transfer those morphs to the Vicky clothes. SWAMP ( ) posted Fri, 02 May 2003 at 10:54 PM

Beth,As far as what clothes to morph for your creation,I would say use what everyone already has...the standard clothes pack(Daz). It has a T shirt, pants and flipflops that can be used on either gender. SWAMP

queri ( ) posted Sat, 03 May 2003 at 2:49 AM

There are jackets and vests at PoserWorld that I think would work well for this-- Steve also did a school uniform for both male and female and a complete peasant set that would cover fantasy. I've been waiting so long for Boy stuff I thought it would never come. Emily

Niles ( ) posted Sat, 03 May 2003 at 12:38 PM

Great news, this will be must for me! ... about the cross gender clothes, PoserWorld has several items that could be used. And of course we have the every Popular DAZ t-shirt and Daz Jeans (and the promise that will produce more... some time after DAZ Studio and Vic6) . Niles

Lyrra ( ) posted Sat, 03 May 2003 at 2:22 PM

What are the most popular PT/PS clothing items? asks the mad texture artist

capsces ( ) posted Sat, 03 May 2003 at 3:17 PM

Thanks for all the replies. As suggested, I think I will initially morph the pants and t-shirt from the DAZ clothing pack. I feel, as others, that many probably already have this set. I will also morph Mada's Petals. Beth

Yea for Petals!! :-)

queri ( ) posted Mon, 05 May 2003 at 3:07 AM

These are PoserWorld references: Lyrra, the cutest things I've seen in a long time for PS girl are the vest and dress and tshirt and leggings-- two different outfits. Plus the great floppy hat for the dress. I also think the whole peasant family outfits Vicki2/3, Mike and PT boy and girl and PS boy and girl. have been much underrated-- how can you have vikings and Celtic raids without the farms to raid?? The outfits could work all the way into some of Ironharts town textures. Emily
