...there's still some bugs in the new site that need fixing (though yeah, Mimic should be out extremely soon now :) ) (now - I just gotta kick Steve K out of bed...) /P

I hope they are not going to ship you a CD and require it to be in the hard drive like LipSync did. And I wonder if they are going to offer an upgrade path. I have 2 Mimic CD's -- one I purchased and one I won.

It seems like they are actually running both the old and the new site. When you log on you go to the new site, but if you go into it deeper you get the old site stuff. All and all you can still buy Mimic 1 but not 2 yet. Only read about it...

It's looking good. Any word on Mac compatibility?

I haven't seen any confirmation of Mac compatibility for Mimic 2, but given DAZ's support for the Mac platform, and the fact that DAZ Studio will be available for Mac OS 10, it seems very likely.

I hate the LIPSinc copy protection scheme, also. If it's eliminated, DAZ might be able to offer Mimic 2 as a downloadable purchase. I'm somewhat torn between purchasing a downloadable version or a packaged version, myself. On one hand, an electronic purchase would allow me to use the product immediately. On the other, I like having a box and printed manual for bragging rights (all dragons are hoarders).

That's what I'm hoping.
