Subject: Vue 2 question ?

I got Vue D'esprit 2 with the March 2001 computer arts mag. It worked fine on my old computer . I upgraded to a p4 with windows xp home edition . I cant seem to run it on my new computer,it seems to install but I cant open the program . Is there any known issues here. The same thing happens to my old bryce 3d version (3d world freebie).I do architectural renderings and was thinking of using bryce or vue to create backgrounds for my architectural scenes that I do in Carrara. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

Vue2 works fine on XP. As you have got it for free, you also have a serial number. Go to www.e-onsoftware.com and download the Vue 2.1 upgrade. Install it and see. It should work. Guitta

Guitta , I am quite sure the vue 2 magazine version has the 2.1 upgrade on it but I didn't install the 2.1 patch , so I will give that a try .Thanks. Mike

I installed the 2.1 patch ,still doesn't work. I used the old serial number ,tried again getting a new serial number ,still doesnt work .It does say that this copy doesnt work with windows 2000 , so I guess thats maybe why it doesnt work with xp. Mike

It's right it doesn't work with Windows 2000, but it does on XP Pro. So I was sure it works with the home edition too.

I have XP Home Edition...when I received the magazine, I installed Vue 2 just to see what it looked like but found that unfortunately, it does not work on XP. :( Irene

There must be a difference between home edition and professional:-). I mean, of course there is a difference, but which one (except the price?) Guitta
