Subject: Organizing it all...

Hi, I have so many textures, poses, MATs and whatever, I get lost sometimes when I am looking for something in PPP. Yes, I get download happy sometimes and just grab everything I can find. Now, my poser category is littered with stuff that is definitely not "poses" as I would think of them. A lot of MATs and such seem to end up there. Is there a way to add more categories to the side menu, or break it into subcategories easier without breaking things? Hmmm, I might have answered my own question as I typed this. Possibly I could create subdirectories in my Poser4 dir and move things around manually. I just don't want to break connections to character files. I wonder if anyone has created an external utility to view all the add-ins and organize 'em? Steve

Its a problem for all us long-time users. Specially since there's a 255 subfolder limit for each of your library categories. There's a library manager utility called Pbooost which will help. For some versions of Poser it doesn't work while the program is running but still useful for swapping out rarely used files. Manually moving files into similar groups will help too. All your Vicky2 Poses in one, all your V3 poses in another etc. MAT files don't need to reside under Poses either. Rename them with a fc2,cm2 or lt2 file extension and they'll work quite happily from your Face, Camera or Light library.
