I am having trouble with the 'create a new magnet' function. It seems that the magnet has only two coorditates it rotates z y but no x. Is it because I need to parent it to somthing or what? To put it another way it will point directly at the face but I can't seem to make it point at one cheek or another for example. The ready made magnets in the props window do not behave this way.

Are you rotating the base? That should rotate on all three axis. You move and rotate a magnet by it's base. Not the magnet itself. Traveler has a nice set of magnet tutorials on his site also if you are new at using them. ScottA

The magnet does need a parent. Click on the body part to be deformed, the click "Create Magnet" That will automatically attech the magnet to the body part. If you double click the actual magnet there are some more options, the most notable is add object to deform. This will allow the magnet to effect more than one body part. Good luck!
