I create a character in poser with poser4 male base, export props from max 4.0 like 3ds format with preserve the texture coordinates item activated, and import this in poser and parent the props to poser character; helmet gloves, boots etc. I animate the character (litle walk), and open the max 4, and imported the pz3 file. The animation works fine but the texture files, not work in max. I said dont worry, i asign the material in max(30 aprox, 5 hours of work), but when i reopen the max file, the the multisubobject ids change , the poser material list change. and the material of food is placed in the arm and so on, mix everithing!!!!!!!!!! I asign names to the material for an easy identification, but in other acation i dont change the names of the materials but when i save and reopen the problem continues In brief the materials are mixing.... Please Help me!!!!!!! max ver 4.0 poser propack 4.2.3 180 I must to ensamble the characters props again? I must to export the props(max modeled) like obj files? any ideas????? why the textures from poser not works in max?

I think the problem may be with the SR version that you have of the propack. I use P5 now, but I remember a problem like this when I used to use the propack. It's important to make sure that you have the last Service Release (I think it's 3), and that the Max plugin is for that release.
