Subject: Damn that Daz hair!!!

Can anyone please tell me why my hair looks like that... The long hair is just a normal render in Poses 5 and the elf/man hair is a firefly render.

I think there was a note someplace about this kind of hair in Poser 5 but I can't help more than that .. Might try to do a search.

set up the material as in the pic ,texture linked to displacement and displacement value to .001. as you see in the render it works.but you have to do it for every seperate hairpart

Mehndi should know this, she has been advertising her hair as not working with P5. I thought the displacement fix might work. I try it whenever the hair is dodgy. Emily

thgeisel, seeing as how that hair has a dark grey for ambient_color, also connect the texture to it, and set ambient_value to 1. It'll make the hair a bit brighter, and kill any dullness in it. Thanks for the tip on removing spots. I've got a couple hair pieces that do that.
