Subject: Undoing What Undo Won't Undo

Here's a problem I get myself into all too frequently. Suppose you apply a pose, MAT or a motion(BVH) to a figure and then change your mind. Clicking Edit/Undo won't work because "Undo" is grayed out, meaning the Undo command isn't available for the unwanted change you just made. To avoid this, I can just save my work before applying something that can't be undone. If, however, there is a way to undo unwanted changes, I'd be grateful to anyone who will share it with me. Thanks!

Nope, you got it. Try undoing after going to the face room. LOL. Hope its saved cuz that's the only way to revert.

Rule #1 - Save before you do anything critical. Rule #2 - If in doubt, refer to Rule #1.

Rule #3, always backup before installing a service pack and be ready to restore. Sheesh, I HATE SR3.

Remember for all of you that want a lot of UNDO functionality, it usually takes up a lot of memory. So be careful what you wish for, you might get it. LOL Anyway, my worst problem is going to save a pose I've worked on for a long time and instead of clicking the '+' I click the checkmark. Happens almost every day. Sigh. The thing to do is to save your pose to a pose dot first. But I usually forget.

Glad to see it ain't just me. :) Sorry, but misery loves company, and all that jazz. :)

Oh, worse than that, try clicking on a texture to see if its better on a particular shape than the one you got and finding out that it has morphs with it. Really ruins your day.

Save early. Save often. Buy a 200 gig drive. Reboot every four hours of constant work. And you will STILL lose stuff. sigh

~groans~ been there and I work with only a 40 gig HD and only 160 of ram. try THAT with out going nutso beeno. but I did learn one lesson -SAVE OFTEN- and reboot. dont just restart but shut the sucker down and then start it again. ~sighs~ to bad there is not a Santa for adults...
