the suspended in mid air trick... still needs something, but it's a start.... and it's only taken 120 pictures to get this far... glad it's a digital.......

just so you know, I can see where you erased the "black", and where you didn't erase it, which would suggest that your have the contrast turned up too high on your monitor I'd believe. Mainly, at the bottom of the rose, and there are a few patches below it. I lightened up the pic and added some contrast to intensify what I'm talking about. The other patches to the above left I would assume to be jpeg compression artifacts...

You're pulling my leg, you can see that stuff? All I see is black, looks perfect to me. A member of the HI contrast league.

Hmm... almost every monitor calibration advice page I've seen on the web suggests most monitors should be set with contrast at 100%. I constantly struggle with monitor calibration; I can never seem to find satisfactory settings. I'd like to get it set at something approaching the sRGB standard, and I think I've got it close, but I'm never really sure. It's a very confusing process. Does anybody have any good advice on this subject?

im pretty sure my monitor is set to 100 as well, but i just got a brand new 19 inch flat screen so that might have something to do with it.

I can see it too. My monitor is at 100% contrast and 0% brightness....yeah, my monitor is kind of bright.....

oops! maybe I oughta calibrate my monitor, or something...I usually have it adjusted to be easy on my eyes considering the ambient lighting at my desk is just a 40 watt piano lamp....anywho thanks fer pointing out the parts I missed! Jack

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PANTONE COLORVISION SPYDER YOU COULD FIND IT AT WWW.COLORVISION.COM OR CHEAPER NEW ON EBAY. AND IT HELPS IN PRINTING. THE ONLY QUESTION IS AFTER USING IT "WHAT COLRS WHERE YOU SEEING?!"
