Not sure what has happened with my PWizard... When I use the conforming wizard, this is what I get. I am trying to make a shirt conform to Koshini. Looks like her groups are without caps, though I'm not sure. Could that be the cause? As I have no clue what this error means. I have the updated version and I just tried to reinstall it. It reported an error during install, some file it couldn't register but when I clicked "retry" it went on fine. Running XPHome and I've used PWizard earlier without any problems.

Thanks :o) Didn't think of looking there. Looked all over PWizard with no luck L Anyway what's the big deal about this privacy? It could very well be that someone else had the same problem and couls tell me what was wrong. It's not like I'm dissin PWizard. On the contrary. I love it, can't live without it and recommends it every time I have a chance. but sheesh if you can't ask about a problem here? or is it only CL we can freely bash in here?

I agree if it is something that ONLY regards the creator of said item. But in general.. I mean, this is a FORUM. IF one should follow your statement to the letter (I KNOW that's not what you mean ;o) ) then you should write Daz every time you had a problem with for instance conforming the new Morph dress, before asking here.. Or CL every time you had any problem with Poser. I STILL think that I can't be the ONLY one who had encountered this problem, so I was not JUST asking Kattman but also the forum in general if anyone knew what caused this and how to remedy it :o) And I have ALSO sent an e-mail now :o)

Ernyoka1 though my comment may not help solving your problem, I do agree with you. As creator of software may not always have the solution on hand, since problem usually discover by users, the forum is a good place to find solution from the many users who have encounter the similar problem. I solve most of my problem by finding solution in the forum and also learn most of Poser knowledge. But usually, while searching for the solution in the forum, I also at the same time write to the creator to get as many help as I possibly can. After all, the forum is a place where the community interact and learn from one another especially for newbies like me. So it is perfectly all right. Regards

True, how many times have the Tailor questions been asked in this forum? ernyoka1, I have P-Wizard too on Win XP Pro and haven't come across this problem. Maybe it was trying to register the ConfWizardCtrl.ocx? You could try clicking Start, Run and typing "regsvr32 c:program filesP-WizardWizardsConfWizardCtrl.ocx", without the quotes. This is assuming you installed it into your program files directory. Worth a shot, anyways.

Hey Netherworks.. You may be onto something here. When I try it, it tells me this... Guess I better search for that ocx...

:o( Found the ocx. Registrered it. Said it registrered fine. But conforming Wizard STILL doesn't work :o( Netherworks, you haven't got Koshini, right? or I couls try sending you the shirt's obj and see if your PWizard chokes on it as well...

No, I don't have Koshini, but I can try my wizard on your shirt. ;) The only thing else I can think of right off is that P-Wizard has it's own Comdlg32.ocx in the P-Wizard program folder. You should have a newer version of that in you Windows System folders (WINNT or SYSTEM32). You could try moving the P-wizard one to someplace else temporarily and see if that affects anything. I could be reaching here, though. Send me that obj though and I'll give it a whirl.

Just to let you all know that ernyoka did contact me about this direct after you gave her my address. I'm going to let you all know what I told her. There are some problems with various characters and I really don't know what the problems are due to the fact that I don't have all of them myself. In about 2 weeks time, I plan on going back over each and every wizard and upgrading/re-writing them. The first on eht elist is the MATMOR wizard, after that is the Conforming wizard. What this means is hopfully within two months there will be a version of the conforming wizard released that will work for any character currently released and hopefully ever released(hard to garuntee that though) along with compatability to P5. I had planned to have already begun development on the full version 2 re-write but want to make sure I clear all current issues first.

On another note. Posting something like this public isn't a problem. Many questions can usually be answered by the user base. Just how many of us have freely done tech support for Curious Labs? At the same time, I would recommend tracking down the creator and contacting them. You may get a faster answer (although not in this case regretfully). The only thing different I would like is once I am contacted please let me know about the post here. I don't like letting these threads hang. It could give people the false impression that I don't try to solve these problems. Thanks

Hmmm...I just tried it on some stuff that I hand conformed to Koshini. It worked just fine for me with her. Used her, then used her pants. That's curious...

Oh I was going to say that Kattman indeed responded very quickly to my question. I was just caught up in the creation of something for the PTGirl, just to check if it was my PWizard or Koshini that caused the problems. It looks like it's Koshini. Made this dress and PWizard made it conforming just as it should. No error messages at all. But I have a question though. Not related to PWizard, I'm sure.. But... WHAT causes the dress to split at the seams? And why only at the skirt and not the top? (It's one obj) I didn't put buttocks in the shirt. Is that the reason? There's hip and thighs but no buttocks. and how can I fix it? Not that the dress is anything special, it was as mentioned made to check out PWizard with something other than Koshini... but it annoys me when my clothes fall apart. And annoys me even more that I don't know WHY...
