Thanks for all of your ideas and suggestions. I've added the lamp, some mold frames, a couple of brushes and some other small stuff. I'm going to add a decalsheet, some knives and sandpaper, plus more notes and pictures on the billboard.

Special thanks to Doublecrash for your thoughts on how to fix the bricktexture.

If anyone has any thougts on the scales of diffrent objects don't hessitate to tell me.
And as usual all comments are welcome

That looks great!! Can't wait to see the finish. One small note, I know this is picky but the paper hanging with the push pin either needs a better angle or reposition the pin. I know, I have tons of crap hanging from a board like that.

Coming along very nicely!

This is starting to look way cool..... Bringing back memories of when I would spend hours putting together models. lol Looking great Svaelt. 8)

Wow! Double wow!! Triple wow!!! Fantastic job. I love the parts trees. Nice touch.

eelie ( ) posted Sat, 10 May 2003 at 12:00 PM

100% better! The only things that I still see as possible additions are some extra pushpins on the board. Never known anyone to only have one! :o) A razor knife maybe. And some dirty rags, maybe a roll of papertowels? But this is completely believable now! Great work.

Svaelt ( ) posted Sat, 10 May 2003 at 1:05 PM

TO EELIE: Actually, I only have one! As I mentioned i will add more stuff to the billbord.

Aldaron ( ) posted Sat, 10 May 2003 at 1:29 PM

Great improvement! The scales are much better. I'm not sure about the floor texture, doesn't seem to fit to me or needs more bump. Maybe a polished wood floor would be better. That's up to you.

This is looking really great.

The coke looks unopened.

TheBryster ( ) posted Sat, 10 May 2003 at 7:55 PM

It might be just the angle but you might wanna check the plane's port (Left) wing...it looks slightly shorter than the starboard (right). Also, I'm not sure that any modeler, worth their salt, would spill paint on the desk like you have...your choice though. Apart from that.......great job! Humungous improvement! The Bryster

this is looking sweet.

Zhann ( ) posted Sun, 11 May 2003 at 3:47 AM

Hmmm, I have only one, the door doesn't look connected to the wall, although I think I see hinges, some type of molding on the wall with the door hinged to the molding would look more realistic, other than that, WOW!, way cool!

No need to thank, everyone here has to be grateful to a bunch of others for all the continuous tips & tricks & suggestions we receive daily :) Glad it worked out, btw, sometimes parametric mapping could be a pain in the, er, ice... Now it looks really cool, it has some minor detail (like the door that already someone pointed out) still to be fixed, but it's a big improvement from the first version. I never tried this, but for sure someone in the past showed us a door or a fence picture transformed into a terrain (it was you, AgentS, I believe). I have the bad habit to not bookmark the interesting threads :( so maybe someone could point it out for you. S.

This is looking very sweet indeed, just a couple things if you would allow me, the corkboard material doesn't look like cork to me, perhaps more work needed there. If this is a WIP, why does it have to be 485+ kb big (almost half a meg!)? It took forever to download. I really wish that people would cut down their WIP byte sizes by optimizing their images for web view so that us none-cable and none-DSL users can enjoy your images without having to wait an eternity for them to download. This is not just for Svaelt but all posters, please, consider us less fortunate members. Other than that, this is looking like a winner.

TheBryster ( ) posted Mon, 12 May 2003 at 7:40 AM

I have to agree with Quest. There is a limit on sizes on this forum of 800 x 600. I'm not to worried about d/load time but I don't like having to scroll around the screen to see the whole image. I don't have a 21" monitor.

Looking real good. The doorframe can be done with some simple cubes here. It does not have to be fancy like in the main part of a finished house. For a fancier doorframe a terrain works extremely well.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

tjohn ( ) posted Mon, 12 May 2003 at 2:58 PM

AgentSmith or clay: I can't find it listed anywhere, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that image posts to the Forum should be limited to 200 kb or less, any reasonable pixel dimension. The image sizes for the Challenge as laid out in the Monthly Challenge Rules at the top of the Forum page are 800 x 600 or 600 x 800 pixels but no mention of specific limits on kb size. Quote from the Challenge Rules:"These image restrictions are needed to keep the total amount of Kb's down to a minimum so members with slower internet connections will be able to view entries as best as possible, so they can vote easily and fairly." See, no specific kb limit. Did I dream it? If you post to the gallery, it tells you 512 kb limit and the pixel limit is in the thousands. So, is there a limit to kb's and a limit to pixel sizes to image posts in the forum if they aren't Challenge entries? Thank you for your attention.

Yeah Rayraz, that's the image kb size in my head and the one I mentioned in the post above, but where is it written down on the site?

sorry about the imagesize. I'll try to remember to make it smaller next time I post something. BTW i'm almost finished with this image and will post one final WIP soon

Thanks Svaelt, I'll be on the lookout for it, I'm eager to see what you've done with it.
