I think this helps prove something I refer to every now and then; It's not the tools that make great art, but the artist and how well they can use the tools at hand. Quite professional looking results, all using nothing but free software from the www (& some CD giveaways). The short is called "Oom" from Yooth Films. AgentSmith

Wings 3D and Bryce can be an awesome combination. I had pretty much given up on doing any type of modeling of my own until I discovered Wings. Anim8tor is also great and free. The first 3d program I ever tried to use was Blender. My hat is off to anyone who can actually use that program without developing a permanent tic. LOL!

That's cool. Thanx for the link, AgentS... personally, I begun doing 3D using PovRay. It was very complex, with the text-only interface, but it was (and it is) open-source and free, and it can do some pretty things, specially in the animation of particles systems.

Nice visuals, but the sound gave me a headache and I didn't fully get the storyline.

I thought it was interesting how he used a free version of Poser 3 to animate figures, then just used (observed) their movement to approximate the final animation in Blender. The first 3D I EVER saw on the internet was PovRay, it's great that it is still around and being used/progressed. AgentSmith

Me too, AgentS! I'm glad to see that, sometimes, there's something done with PovRay in the "Other Apps" gallery. It's a great prog.
