Just a bit more tweaking on the Victoria3 version of myself. I think it's getting positively spooky now.

Very good! Just the end of the nose needs tweaking, probably need a custom morph for that. (Oh and some hair! :0) )

Valandar ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 4:17 PM

Jeez! Yeah, just make the tip of the nose just a wee bit narrower with either a custom morph or even a teeny magnet... The eyefolds are also just a wee bit off, but those may be too fiddly to work well with (unless Traveller helps out, heheheh). Now just make a phototexture of your head, ROFL

Getting there for sure - I would only see about lowering the eyebrows a bit and maybe making the area just below the eyebrows a little more full if possible morph-wise (The fullness might not be necessary once the brows come down since I think you already made the upperlid area a little more full anyway). Also the bridge and into the end of the nose needs a little widening - just a tad - and the tip brought down (or bent down) just the teeniest bit. If those morphs are possible with V3 then you'll have the likeness for sure. : )

Dizzie ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 5:01 PM

I definitely agree the eyebrows need to come down and I think the bridge of the nose needs to be widened...

hogwarden ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 5:27 PM

Yeah... and add at least 20 years... LOL! Couldn't resist!!! (please forgive me please forgive me please forgive me) I agree that this is very close... the nose, though... ...The line of yours is convex, wheras V3's is concave.. Nearly there... Howard:)

BluesPadawan ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 5:34 PM

It's great...and I agree...the eyebrows, and the lips just a tad fuller...just a tad.

duanemoody ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 6:19 PM

Very nice bit of work. I'd use a small magnet to make the nose progressively wider from the bridge down and soften the tip, perhaps lower the columella a teensy teensy bit, and sink the eyes in a little farther (actually bring the bone structure behind the brows out more). Nitpicking aside, you've done an excellent job.

Daio ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 6:35 PM

The nose tip and widening isn't quite right, I agree but I haven't found morphs yet that make it any closer. Nor have I found away to lower the eyebrows without causing worry wrinkles between the eyes. I think what the eyebrows really need is a trans map closer to my eyebrows. This is all done with the basic V3 morphs plus two custom ones done by Cin- and jaager. To make one eye higher and to narrow the phitrum. I haven't tried using any of V3 male morphs - some of them might be useful. And Vandalar - that is a texture based on photos of me. Hogwarden there is such a thing as too much realism :-) But I don't think I look all that bad for being on the wrong side of 40. ;-)

It's very good. I think the whole head, however needs to be broader on the x axis. Distance from nose to lip shortend - although other nose work mentioned might correct this. Lower the eyebrows, first - I think this change alone will take you from the 98 % you've achieved into the 99.5 % range.

D, you look godd wherever you are standing, or seated.

LOL! You're a darn attractive woman, Daio. Closer to me own age that I care to mention! LOL!

The difference in eye height is quite substantial...
I'm surprised that a custom morph is required for this! Doesn't V3 have these morphs? S'pose not.

Good job I have Steph. My partner Kit has surprisingly wonky eyes...

See!! They're at least half an inch different in height!
Good job I dress to the left!

(Stop looking at the breasts, Guys... they're taken!)
Ahh... an English Rose... Sigh... LOL!

A few more tweeks. The Male V3 brow curved morph I think helped the brows alot.

Just a little tweeak of the mouth height and the low lip width

The eyes are just spooky they're so identical-- tell her to put them back when she's done with them.:)) Is it ok if I miss your Vicki 2 version-- she was so cute. Emily

Dale B ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 8:54 PM

Hmmm.... You might want to adjust the lighting to try and match the picture before you do too much more tweaking. Darkening the nostrils and lightening up the shadows on the sides of the nose would soften things a bit, which would add to the similarity. It would also lessen the hot spot at the chin, and that should smooth out the contours there. Aside from that, if you had a matching hairstyle, I think you would have it. There are nits to pick, but you have the attitude and the aura, and those are harder to get. And most of the nits would have to be worked on at the texture level (matching the shading of the cheeks closer, and the smile lines under the eyes are subtle but distinctive features) And may I add my compliments to the carbon based model, as well? :)

Daio ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 8:56 PM

Emily, I'm sure I'll still use the V2 version from time to time - I have a lot more stuff for V2 than V3 after all. She looks more like my younger self say 18-20 and V3 looks more like my current self. The eyes shuld look nearly identical as I created the eye textures from the photo I'm using as a comparison. ;-)

Dale, Yes, I think more difuse lighting closer to that in the photo would increase the reselmblense (a word I can never spell) without more tweaking. And thank you. ::blushing::

Daio - The V3male eyebrows definately did the trick! The eyes are done. The only thing that would cinch it for me is if the tip of the nose comes down just a bit - I think V2 has this morph so I assume V3 does. You see, where the underpart of the nose tip (the part that divides the nostrils) meets the upper mouth area is visible on your Vicky but not on you. The end of your nose drops a litte obscuring that. Otherwise, your work has produced a tremendous likeness to yourself - the eyes, mouth, nostrils (not to be so nostril-centric...) are perfect. You should have a lot of fun - interesting possibilities. : )

Berserga ( ) posted Wed, 14 May 2003 at 11:07 PM

Geeting creepy how life like she is. Maybe a bit deeper cheek lines. (Or it may be the lighting?) "Hogwarden there is such a thing as too much realism :-) But I don't think I look all that bad for being on the wrong side of 40. ;-)" Indeed you are a fine looking specimen. ^_^ Hope I look that good (uh but not as feminine... :D ) in my 40s. I'm just a baby of 31.

c1rcle ( ) posted Thu, 15 May 2003 at 12:53 AM

not sure if anyone else noticed but your chin isn't as pointed as the one on V3, it's more square, but she's looking very similar to you :)

smiller1 ( ) posted Thu, 15 May 2003 at 2:18 AM

Well spotted c1rcle. This is so diffcult, it's a great idea to get other input. We need to recruit 'spot-the-difference' fanatics, do they have a forum?

Here's another comparison. I took the latest picture you posted, and layered the faces. I put the real photo on top of the V3 one, and set it at 76% transparancy. Almost can't see the difference. Only thing is that you have a slightly wider neck than the V3 version. Very nice job Daio

smiller1 ( ) posted Thu, 15 May 2003 at 4:52 AM

As a member of the 'Spot the Difference' community I have to say that's cheating! :0)

GraphicFoxx ( ) posted Thu, 15 May 2003 at 10:08 AM

Heh, so that's cheating. Still, you see just how dang close it is.

Daio ( ) posted Thu, 15 May 2003 at 10:17 AM

Hmm... that shows me I can make the jaw just a a hair fuller... Off I go to tweak again! ;-)

No Rattler, I don't mind. This has been a fascinating exercise and I agree with you about the cheek lines. I don't expect to get an absolutely perfect likeness just a recognizable one. I'm trying to get as close as I can without too many custom morphs - I'm not good at making morphs.
