Maybe we should petition for a few "sky" formula or "tree" formula galleries as well ;)

Ugh, that would take alot of looking back and forth, lol. I'd rather just out them up in freestuff.

I second AgentS on this one.

What the Poser forum has done is put a permanant genre in the Poaer gallery so that it will be in one place and easy to find. A bit like our link to Bryce related sites in the header. Catlin

It's a great thing for the Poser program. In Bryce terms, it would be like uploading a photo texture, with the material lab settings. It would be much smaller thing to download for everybody since it would be a .jpg texture instead of a Bryce .mat (which would be huge in comparison). This is one reason I would like to see (a future) Bryce keep photo textures outside of the scene file, to keep it's overall size down. Or, somehow keep the .jpg with it's original file size inside the .br4, .br5 file. *Bryce uses photo textures nearly uncompressed, so when you add a jpg to a Bryce scene, its like turning it into a .bmp file-size-wise. ---------- - end of rant, lol AS

Uh oh, I've actually used picture textures in .bmp format, they look better but it didn't dawn on me til you mentioned it that the file size would be large...:/

Yeah, I agree with that one AS - it'd be great to be able to pull the jpg textures out of the br5 file. Probably make the files a little less easily corruptible too.

Zhann, actually, it doesn't (seem) to matter. Take a .jpg and put it on a sphere and save the Bryce scene. Take the same exact pic as a .bmp, put it on a sphere and save the Bryce scene. So far, all the times I have done it, both the jpg scene and the bmp scene will be the same exact size. So, use bmp's all ya want, lol. That's all I use. AS

Yeah me too! I have some plant models that use bmp's as textures and got the bright idea once that I would convert them all to jpg's to make the size smaller. Well, once I got them into Bryce they were the same or even bigger. Bryce does some sort of converting. So, now I use bmps. Arleen
