Subject: MAX files

Am I missing something or does Bryce really not like MAX files? I've found some models that I would really like to use but they're MAX files and I can't get them to import. If Bryce won't recognize them, is there a way to convert them to a type it will? Other than a handful of freebie programs (that won't open them either), I only have Bryce. Any suggestions for me? Thank you!! :o)

I think MAX files can only be converted in MAX. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Catlin

Bryce won't read 'em...as for converting them, I have no idea.

Post a request for someone with Max to export them to a format you can use.

Send the files to aldaron@charter.net and I'll convert them. Would .3ds be fine?

eelie - if you're talking about the MrCAD files, I think he is looking into making .3ds versions available - was chatting with him yesterday about it.

I read something about collapsing the stack before you export from max to 3ds - don't know exactly what that means but it seems to be important.
