I am still a rookie at poser 5 and I want to know how to export figures and materials so that I can use them in bryce. please be as detailed as possible. Thanx.

Export to wavefront obj format (just take the defaults on the last dialog) and run that through Grouper. Import the output from Grouper into Bryce. http://www.castironflamingo.com/tutorial/grouper/

Poser 5 native materials aren't exportable but picture textures work.

Hey Garth, there is an excellent tutorial on this subject over at brycetech. Not familiar with p5, but with some tinkering image textures work very good in bryce.

Another good one, a little more indepth.

I disagree with both tutorials. They make it much harder. Just take the defaults on the last export dialog box. You do NOT need the body parts in Bryce. And use Grouper. And don't UNgroup the figure in Bryce. Go into solo mode and use the CTRL key with the mouse and select meshes from the little menu.
