Ok I have been using poser for years, and I have only recently seen BVH files transferred like this. Can someone tell me how to use these in poser? Sorry if this is a stupid question.......Thanks..............asmith

Don't you remember the original "Matrix" movie?....that's the "girl in the red dress".... Scarab<-"...there is no spoon...."

You would need to change the file extention to a pose file.

there is a thread below and if I read it right, just change the .txt to .bvh

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Sat, 17 May 2003 at 6:21 AM

That isn't a .bvh file. As lalverson said, it's a pose file (.pz2 extension).

EricofSD ( ) posted Sat, 17 May 2003 at 6:38 AM

Oh, duh, I should read. And its a pro pack file.

Ok??? Now I'm even more confused.

Poser's native pose files can store animation data, much like Biovision's BVH files. Both filetypes are text format, and can be edited with Notepad and other utilities, but the data isn't organized in the same manner, so they cannot be used interchangeably. The file shown in your image above is a pose file, so give it a .pz2 extension, put it in one of your Pose folders, and load it from the Pose Library. If it were a BVH file, you'd simply give it a .bvh extension and import it from the File menu.
