Subject: May Challenge WIP2.....the ooops factor

I considered the suggestions on the earlier version. I decided the wall was too imposing...I wanted this to be something you might stumble across hiking the hills near some ancient city (a lost villa's garden?) and while making some changes accidently created a water plane, and decided to see what a change it would make... Also bumped up the haze (my first excursion into the sky lab) this is around noonish in the summer... Changed the POV... Still some things to fix, need to ground the stone bench in the background and tweak some textures...I was happy that all the stuff I'd been modeling imported ok and looks fine (a small smattering of the 250 architectural elements I've been working on) Sooo, in general what do you think?

I like it other then the lack of AA on the tree leaves

I like it! Textures look good and the models are fantastic. I'm glad I wasn't under that column when it fell :) Very nice piece Zhann :)

You know this was at superfine, and it seems Bryce tree leaves never seem to completely AA, I wish I knew why....

This really looks very nice. There's some unusual deformations on the textures, but that's about the only thing I noticed.

hey! i like it! this is much better than your other one... all it needs probably is a little tweaking here and there. you know what i mean and a little change in the colors generally, since bryce sucks on is default colors, its so... 3D! good luck on the competition!

Those ruins are superb; I'm very impressed. As mentioned before, a few odd deformations of texture but nothing too serious. Also, it would be more engaging with a richer depth of colour - it seems a bit pale all over at the moment, but that's a post-work thing anyway. Going great :-)

I think the added water makes it much better. And I like the openness that removing the wall created. This is a place I'd like to stumble across. :o)

A super image Zhann I really love the composition and the models look superb. Aren't you a clever girl. I guess you have used your own textures and I must say they work very well. I look forward to you posting the rest of your models and can't wait to see the finished version of this image. Catlin

I've been learning UV mapper and I'm hoping that will take care of some of the weird mapping (I can only hope)...thanks for all the input, and I think I'll stick with the water, adds something. Info for those who are interested: 12 lattices (me), three terrians, 11 of my models, 5 trees, 9 rocks, 6 asstd ferns, 5 of my textures and asst'd debris under the water...7 mins to render...:]
