Works like a charm for me... Nice being able to hit the next button and move on to the next photo, the size is nice on my monitor ....... :~)
I am, therefore I create.......

The site was kind of slow to get loaded and at about shot 37, my system just froze at the "waiting to load" screen (heck, I was just getting to the good part) this may be an internet connection thing or something so I wouldn't worry about that yet. The view control buttons are great, can you move them over to the sides of the images? On some of those long legged girls, I had to move the screen down to be able to get to the buttons. I am lazy. If you managed, in six hours, to teach yourself MySQL, PHP, build these pages and still gawk at 'chelle, you are amazing.
Yes, yes, yes, I like that much better! I have a 17 inch monitor and the photos look spectacular in full view like that. I do have to scroll down just a tad each time to click the next button. Guess I'm a little lazy like doca and did think it would be nicer if the buttons were up closer to the photo. I realize you probably left them lower on purpose for visual reasons, as you are trying to focus all attention on the photos. How about a slide show so us lazy people don't have to do a darn thing? LoL!! ;D Shannon
@All - Thanks guys!!!! It's amazing how easy it actually is once you learn how. @Doca - I think the my hosts webserver was doing something weird yesterday (dunno if they were backing up or having network problems). I noticed that everything was slow when I uploaded the new code. I still haven't figured out the best place for the "Previous | Close | Next" links. They'd be good on the sides for vertically oriented shots, but on lower res screens they'd be a pain for horizontal shots. Still thinking about it. Maybe I'll have them top and bottom of the screen. @Misha - Models? Lets just put it this way. 94 photos in that gallery set, the cars only go up to Photo #20. :) @MzQt - Need to think about that one. It really shouldn't be that hard. All I need to do put in a timing function have it fire my next image code. Hmmmmmm. :) -=>Donald
Misha is making a good point for you here. I had similar trouble when I first connected. It isn't real obvious how you get into all of the gallerys. I had to figure out that you need to click on the thumbnail to get into the slides. There is a certain amount of hunting required to learn your way around. If that could be minimized, it would be more user friendly.
Hmmm ... I don't know if I can address any of those concerns. I figure clicking on thumbnails to access larger images (just like at renderosity and almost every gallery I've been to) is a universal user interface. I can't think of any way to make that any more friendly. It also has a tooltip that says "Click to See Fullsize Image" when you place your mouse cursor over a thumbnail. Same with the pages. Not unless I made them some gaudy color (like red) to draw more attention to it, but that would break with the color scheme of the site. And again, the same with getting into galleries. It just seems self-explanatory to me that you hit the "Gallery Menu" button. But then again, I'm the one who put it all there. I guess the question is, is it that you didn't see these navigation queues or that you saw them and didn't know what to do with them? The answer to that question will at least tell me where the problem is.

Lets try that again: Okay...had about enough of my procrastinating so I locked myself in my computer room for 6 hours straight with nothing but Balance Gold Triple Layer Energy Bars (Caramel Nut Blast), White Grape sparkling water and the photo of 'chelle in her small frillies...oooooo. Anyway, taught myself PHP and MySQL and then re-wrote the new gallery page to be database driven. Then added Previous and Next links. If you wouldn't mind, let me know if this works for you. Don't go to any of the other pages in the gallery as this link is the only page that I have added the new function call to (however, once the viewing window is open, you can use next/previous to flip through all of the images in the gallery - 94 photos). I'm also thinking of adding a "First" and "Last" image command. Lemme know what you think. If this works right, I'll clean up the code, make graphic buttons for "Previous", "Close" and "Next" and then be ready to update the other pages. Thanks for all the help on this guys. -=>Donald
