Working on a texture for the V3 fantasy dress. This one is just for practice and will probably end up in freestuff. But I can't decide if I like the blue skirt or the gold one. Opinions anyone?

Blue. No! GOLD! AAAAAaaaaaaaahhhhhh! (sorry, the 'Monty Python' in me slipped out!) For the princess - gold. For her attendants - blue. And I think the blue would look better than the gold if a slight transparency were applied. I envision a moon-lite walk along the banks of the lake... hmm. Already got me thinking of an image to make with it! (grin)

Summer = blue, winter = gold. The gold part looks like a heavier fabric.

I'd have the blue for a princess, cause it looks like a silk texture. The gold, while more commonly associated with royalty, to me makes the dress look likes it made out of some curtains that were sewn together. The textures great, i just think it's the darkness of the colour. So yeah, i defintately prefer the blue, but both textures would be welcome in my textures library, cause they're both great.

Okay here is a view of the whole dress. Now which one do you like better? Blue?

Funny, in the close up, I liked the gold better but, now that I see the whole dress, I like the blue. I like the detail around the bodice. Both dresses are very pretty. You do lovely work.

If the choice is "either-or," then blue. The gold one still looks like a heavier material, like a winter dress for a drafty castle. The lighter, blue one looks like a dress for walking in a summer garden. Seeing the top makes no difference to me as far as the above comment is concerned, but I do like the top. Would you consider making a gold top with a yellowish bottom? Same degree of shade difference as with the blue dress?

I like-a-da blue. The gold makes it look too cartoony, like Snow White. The blue keeps the colors unified there. Evo

Either would be good .. but I'd suggest bringing some of that color up into the bodice area somehow to unify the colors. Trim, decorations, fabric inset ... not a lot, but just a touch of that color should do.

blue would be my choice of colors. Funny that EvoShandor mentioned the gold being cartoony i kind of think the blue is but in a good way . It does remind me of snow white. now if i only had 7 little ones to go along with it.

I like the blue better. I think there is too much silver in the bodice and belt for the gold bottom. Maybe if you changed the trim to gold and the white to pale yellow? They are both really pretty and I can tell you spent a lot of time on the detail work.
