Subject: Renderosity MarketPlace Question For Anyone...

Has anyone in here sold their images, or have had any success making money on selling their images? In the small chance that I might actually start making some presentable images, is there a possibility at making a few extra cents if I'd like to offer my future stuff to the public? Just wonderin'. :) MD

Personally, no. I have seen Art prints of all sorts on ebay, those do well. This summer I plan on having a handful of prints made up for sale at an art gallery I have part ownership in. Four of us bought a building in Norwich, CT.USA, for a dollar, and have benn renovating it for the past year. It's in a small art community, there is another gallery 2 doors up and an Art-space living community around the corner. If this Gallery does well & there is an interest in the 3d & 2d or even Photo Prints, I plan on asking many people here if they're interested. I have a few Ideas about Creative Display, Like a scrolling Screen saver program, showing the artwork, and a few samples around the Display-PC. This will cut the initial cost & save on Gallery wall space. My sister started a ceramics & candle shop on the first floor and it's become very successful. The other gallery does pretty well. That's my 2cents. Curious if there are other avenues. ICM

That's pretty interesting and sounds like a great beginning to things. I just wish once I started making nicer images I could make a few bucks off of them for some extra side cash, but it appears that digital images can be no more than a 'dime-a-dozen' type of venture. Hmmm...well, we'll see I guess. As for your idea, I really think that sounds like a great plan and I wish I could visit it once it's done. I'm thinking about attending an art festival here in Wilmington, NC this weekend just to get ideas...although, all-in-all I'll just be downtown getting more ideas for buildings and rooms to do probably...haha... ICM, a gallery!?, where I live getting a building for a buck, people look at you like you're crazy....however, I am changing my gallery representation this fall, I have two big shows in Aspen, one at the museum, then it's quits with that town...the people are rude, would you be interested? :) Zhann

We are crazy, but we also aquired grants for...well lets see- Structural,Facade,Roof, etc. In addition, everything has to be historically correct with the era. During part of the restoration we opened a small fireplace and walled up inside was a package with a bottle of champagne, vodka & wine. It was addressed to a Mr Shultz, delivered from Maceys. Postmarked 1937. Apparnetly the building was a hotel called the Knickerbocker. Hence we renamed it The "Knickerbocker-Shutlz".(my sisters idea) The add for showings already went out, I don't know how many slide entries there are yet. The judge/art rep is a young art professor. She is handling that end of it. Since I'm part owner I have a shoe-in (plus no entry fee);). So for the first showing I'll display the Scrolling Catalog with lets say 4 samples( printed on different materials). Yes, I am interested. I'll keep you posted.

You could also sell bryce-models. I've sold a few of those here at 'Rosity. But remember to keep the price low otherwise they won't sell very good. Now that I talk about it anyway: Come and take a look at my store! High quality spaceships for the amazing price of only $5.00!

Hey ICM, let us know how your prints turn out. I have some people enquiring about me doing the same and I am curious about others experiences with print. Drop a line in here about how the gallery is doing too!

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!
