Subject: Background Picture refuses to import...

...sometimes. I've been using P4 on a Mac for several years, but started using my PC (Win2K Pro) at work in the last month or so and I'm finding a whole new world of bugs. Any ideas what's wrong? I've got plenty of RAM and hard drive space. Sometimes the picture - the same picture - will import, but most often not.

Can you hear me now?

I cannot help you directly as I have never tried to import things. However, there is a thread here (somewhere) about computer compatibility, where someone was having problems with loading things into comupters with the same OS as each other. Maybe you can find something there. I will look for the thread and post a link.

I've had that problem occasionally too Hiram, and it seems to happen more when I've had the program open for a while. Unfortunately, I don't know or have a solution which is why I didn't respond.

This should be the link I was after. The problem is not quite the same as yours, but maybe you can find something to try. Good luck. :)

Hiram, this isn't really a cure to your specific problem, but I usually prefer to blow up a Poser square and apply a texture to it for my backgrounds - gives me better control of the positioning and framing.
