hey guys,

just remembered that I havent uploaded any free models for Bryce yet and thought I would start today but just realized that you need to host your own files. And my web site only has 5mbs available. Any ideas on free hosting or cheap hosting that has a fairly large stoarge limit. By the way this is the 12 string guitar I made, but at 10mbs zipped, its just too big for me to host. If anyone really wants it, i can get it to you, but would like to be able to host several of my future models. Any hlep?

Try the link, they are very reasonable and are 'up' 100% of the time, best track record of any host I've had, the basic pkg allows...15megs of storage and 1000megs of transfer per month, FTP and Telenet access, custom CGI support, web logs and files dl...

Plenty of free host sites. The one I use is 50megs.com

I see you are a merchant. You should have a bit of space here at 'Rosity. I don't know if it's usable for a freebee, but I can't see why not.

hmmm, never thought of that rayraz....thanks Aldaron, how do you upload files to 50megs? Apparently you need an upgraded service to use ftp

Most free hosts have a file manager from wich you upload.

I'm still waiting for a site that is free, and supports unlimited downloads..I'm not holding my breath..;) Have about 20 or so models myself, just h'aint got that texturing thang down yet..;)

Yeah apparently you use the file manager but bandwith is limited to .5 GB per month and the file size is limited to .25 MB. The upgrade to the next level is fairly cheap and I haven't had any problems with them. There are a lot of other ones out there besides geocities and their like. Just do a search on google for free web host or something like that. Most free host will limit the bandwith and/or file sizes and no remote linking.
