Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 6:57 am)
I have given up on some of the conforming clothes (like the bike shorts) as I have no other program to use to clean up the mistakes. If I cannot make it right in Poser 5, then I am stuck. This tends to make me focus on the things I can do well and find ways to avoid/fake the things I cannot do well. One thing I like to do is use the grouping tool to make "body paint clothes." Newbie-level work, but it currently meets my needs.
load the figure then the cloths, under figure drop down click on conform to and select your figure, posing the figure will now also pose the clothes in p4 many of the cloths particularkly the new daz clothing will also take on the morphs of the figure this was becouse of an effect called crosstalk (which normally is a bad thing. in P5 they eliminated Crosstalk Yeay....wait a minute. yes now those cloths that in p4 take advantage of crosstalk dont. so what you have to do is change all the morps in your cloting to the same settings as you did in your figure. if the clothing is good you should have very little in the way of popthroughs except in extreme poses.

Re: "is there a way to automatically hide non-visible body parts automatically" Pose files can hide a number of body parts at once. There are some free Utility Poses that hide body parts, amongst other things, at Travelers Morph World. Look near the bottom of the page linked above.Re: "is there a way to automatically hide non-visible body parts automatically" If you mean you're using the 'properties' box and clicking 'visible'for each individual object, then the easier way is to go under 'window' and pick 'heirarchy...' and there you'll see a list of every object in the scene and on the left of each object name are icons that look like an eye which you can click on to make the object invisible. It's a whole lot faster than the 'properties' box method (I use Poser 4 - not familiar with P5) Conforming clothes problem: Do you mean the person's skin is breaking through the clothes or when you pose the person the clothes stay put? I apologise if you already know this but to conform clothes you load the person then the clothes, then go to 'figures' and click on 'conform to..'. You probably already knew that, so another suggestion would be to check if the person or figure have "IK" turned on - it might have an affect when manually posing the person.

"as I have no other program to use to clean up the mistakes. "Here, download the Gimp, a free paint program that I have seen a few peeps rave about...as good as photoshop I hear.
