Subject: what does the "leave" link on the right do?

I'm too afraid to click it to find out

I believe it's there for those who want to voluntarily close their account permanently. (Dunno if R'osity will automatically clear out dormant accounts, though...)

That's a good question. Ihave tried it several times, it does nothing for me. i will bring it up to the admins. Will get back here as soon as I have an answer. gebe

logs your cookie out so when you come back.. you have to re-enter your user name / pass again....

I thought that's what logout did....leave seems more permanent somehow.

For me. it seems that it just removes you from the "who's online"-list. On the Top of the page it says "welcome [username]" when you are loged in, and "[guest]" when not. If you have cookies activated, you will be logedin automatically when you return...

If you click the LEAVE link, all it does is that your name doesn't show up anymore in the "who's currently online" list:-) gebe

I always wondered about that link also... it seems odd that there would be a link to delete your membership right next to the common "log out" link. You really shouldn't a put a "never click" button next to a "click everysday" button. It's kinda like the buttons on my cable remote: the "Power" button is located right next to the "Info" button. So, if I want information about the current show, I have to make sure not to hit the Power button!

if we do have a "never click" button/link ... it ought to have an "onCursorOver" function that brings up an information message "Release to destruct" ... LOL MGD

"Logout" logs you out of the site, and deletes the cookie on your machine. "Leave" logs you out, but leaves your cookie intact so when you return you will be automatically logged back in.
