No, it is not a demo, but the full program mailed to me by Curious Labs themselves. Comp = Windows 98, 1.6 GHz Pentium 4, 512 MB DDR SCRAM, 80GB HDD, 32MB graphics. Purchased P5 in Feb/Mar, ran fine. Lots of fun! :D Then, in Apr, she locked up on me while revising (in work room, not file editing) a saved document, and she has not fully opened since. She hangs at the "credits" page. I have tried (in order): uninstall + reinstall (twice) scan disc + defrag + reinstall uninstall + d/l SR-3 + reinstall uninstall + reinstall + "run" Sr-3. Contacted CL Tech Support in Apr - might have trashed reply with 1200+ spam (was on vacation). Retransmitted to Tech Support last Sat and to Customer Service today. I am hoping someone in the community can help me.

Try this. Uninstall poser but rename your runtime directory to runtime2 before you do(so you don't have to reload all your products again) delete the plugins, pref, dots, temp, ui from runtime2 directory. Reinstall fully but do not restart your pc. Immediately install either Service release 1 or 2. I do not recommend SR 3 because it messed up my poser 5 install (and don't hold your breath on tech support ... I never heard back from them from the post I made in DECEMBER.) Restart your computer and run poser. It should ask for your product serial number. If you don't have SR1 or 2, email me. This got my poser 5 up and running again.
