You might try looking through these links on one of Yamato pages. http://www.juno.dti.ne.jp/~yamato-k/Links.html Also Poser World has a beautiful Kimono and a Garden shelter that makes a fantastic setting. http://www.poserworld.com/

forester has a set of Japanese props in the marketplace - samurai house, garden, tsukubai, gates, laterns. Communion has a Samurai katchu (full clothes and armor) in several parts in the marketplace. There are some hashi and other props in the Cinema4D freestuff section (easily importable into Poser since .obj are included). BYS

I've been searching through the web myself, looking for traditional Japanese clothing, especially for male figures. In addition to what BeatYourSoul says, here's all that I've been able to locate in Japan. www.yokohama.cool.ne.jp/Tomita910/NeoJ This author (Masaune) has a budoh and a fundosh. Also hair for a male and for a female. There is a beautiful female kimono (actually three) by ISO at www.iso.power.ne.jp. Toni Dunlap probably has the most current experience working with that kimono set. Both these items are free. It appears to be pretty slim pickings out there. I did put a request in on the Merchant's wishing well, especially since I could provide the textures and so forth. But no one has taken us up yet.

I won't make any promises, but as I'll be working on some samurai characters soon (from the ground up), there will be lots of opportunity to make a variety of clothing, armor, and weapons for the figures. Hakama, hitatare, yoroi, kabuto, juban, tabi, and so on, will be requirements. My only problem is that I don't actually own or have access to most of the real things. Katana, tabi I have, but not much else. Plenty of book and online resources, but that's it. What I'd do to lay my hands on a complete katchu for making an authentic and detailed armor model! ;) If you have any good book or online resources, I'd be forever grateful. BYS
