Left-handed flute players play the flute as a right-hander would, just as a right-handed French horn player plays the instrument left-handed. Most instruments were designed for right-handed people and are played that way. The guitar is the only instrument I know of that can be restrung (upside down) to reverse the way the instrument is played. Actually, handedness is not really an issue with playing a musical instrument. One gets used to playing the instrument as is. When one learns a two-handed task, the "off-hand" can be as clever as the other. I am a stickler for accuracy in all my work.
Funny story on that Don. I am actually a flute player, albeit I haven't picked up a flute in many years. But when putting this together I was doing the mirror thing. Half way through I realized that it was indeed backward. It was very late at night so I posted it anyway. I also in the back of my mind kind of wanted to see if anyone noticed ;-) So I'm busted! Here is the correct pose ;-) James
