They have a lot of nerve, that's for sure. Does Linda Burkvist know this is going on?

I've been fighting for two years now to get something removed from MSN and still haven't succeeded. At least Linda has started watermarking her images that are posted on some of the larger galleries, but there is a lot of Lindas' stuff on computer hard drives that people have collected that are still free of the watermarks and are being uploaded to newsgroups occassionally.

J.K weston is kinda good about geting things removed. but the thing is you have to have the exact link to the image to report it ..it was why I did the link and pic this time. I know in epilogue forum there is a post{older one Ill try to find the link} about geting something done about the whole right click thing anyway and the thing that pops up so you can save or send an image despite a no right click script. I mean really what is that needed for? if you need the image or site then hit it to favorites for future refrence. or contact the creator. Tonight I was talking to a few friends and they are wondering why artists dont bann together and get a petition going to change it. I mean trust me one thing msn hates is a mail campagien~ smiles innocently~ If they are faced with enough out cry about the problem they have to listen. I agree with this the thing is .....geting artists to ban together to do it. We all have a voice in this matter while one at a time we may not get much done together we -can- get something done. ok I think apparently I have had to much caffine tonight LOL.

You can prevent this imagetoolbar in IE 6 by inserting a MetaTag into your the head of an html document. Works really fine. [meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no"] You have to change this [] to this <>

There is a script to stop people being able to use RMB when on a pic to save. The only problem is that because it is javascript, you can switch off java in your browser and therefore access the right mouse button again.

I wouldn't worry. All you can do (unless they're making a buck off of it) is feel sorry for someone who is so unpotentious that they have to pretend someone elses work is their own. It's hardly going to impact on a succesful artist. They're only going to lift the works of someone who is likely to be known at some point if not at the present and will end up being seriously embarassed when that person, and their works are known or when they are unable to produce anything that comes from faking talent. Simple as that. Mike

Here is a webpage that talks about the right click and how to get around it. Bill

There's no point hastling with the right click. All they have to do is press alt-print screen and the have a screen cap. Bottom line, you can't handle this stuff, don't post your work. Mike

Oh, the browser cache - wait:

[meta name="cache-control" content="no-cache"]
[meta name="cache-control" content="no-store"]

File - save as ... hm, works as long as you do not open your webpages in a new window that do not have a menue- and status bar but only the navigation bar.

Put a big watermark on your image that cannot be removed without destroying parts of the image - tubers don't want to put too much work into their new creation - cloning away the watermark is possibly to much effort for them.

You can slice your images, put the slices into the table as background and on top put a transparent gif, for those rightclickers that find a way to work around the script.

Ah yes, you're right. I usually use Netscape7 but tried with IE and there it opens a context menue when you rightclick on top. Netscape doesn't do that. Ohhhh, sh** IE :-(.

it almost makes you want to not post your work at all. I mean they make it so no matter what you do there is a way to steel work. it just doesnt make sence.

There is actually code that you could write that would prevent the right clicking and also the little picture tool bar that shows up on pics in IE6+. I have those oth active on my site however I am not at that computer where I can look up the code right now. It's actually pretty easy.
