kruse ( ) posted Wed, 28 May 2003 at 3:24 PM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 6:48 AM

Hi All, today German-TV Pro7 meet us at home. They made a document about how to create movies with Poser. This 5 minutes spot needs a whole day. Now Daniel and I are ready for bed now! Nevertheless we made some good advertise for renderosity! They are willing to set a link to renderosity at their page and introduce our comunity in this spot (coming out in two or three weeks at Pro7-Galileo). Hope this helps to make renderosity more familiar in Germany. Regards to you all Daniel + Matthias

Hope they asked about the big bugs too. Thomas

I think we should all concentrate on mentioning the "big bugs" in every single stinking thread. Sound good?

kruse ( ) posted Wed, 28 May 2003 at 6:46 PM

Sorry for being angry at Poser 5. No, we didn't discussed big bugs in Poser 5, because (psst) we made our show with Poser 4. Ah, sorry, stinking thread? Please explain....

kruse: I wasn't refering to you. I was commenting on the fact that there are some individuals out there that will post in threads whenever possible about Poser 5 being buggy. Example: Nice image of Victoria. You must have done it in Poser 4 because Poser 5 sucks. It has too many bugs. Or: That's a nice free figure you created. Must have done it in Poser 4 since Poser 5 sucks so bad. Poser 5 sucking has nothing to do with the topic of either example. Poser 5's bugs have NOTHING to do with German TV. It is getting tiring. I'm not implying that Wombat is one of these individuals. I'm just stating that this is the trend. I can't wait for it to stop. It's annoying. I do understand that there are people out there that are having problems with P5. They should do as Wombat is doing (as mentioned in another thread). Sell it and stop talking about it. All the best, Joe www.3-AXIS.com

Well, I won't have believed it if I didn't read it myself. Everyone should sell their copy of Poser 5 and go back to Poser 4. We shouldn't even talk about Poser 5, just talk about all the stuff you can do with 4. I guess that way Poser 5 will die a quite death in obscurity. Per Joe: "I do understand that there are people out there that are having problems with P5. They should do as Wombat is doing (as mentioned in another thread). Sell it and stop talking about it." All the best, Joe www.3-AXIS.com I guess that's a good sugestion as that's what Daniel + Matthias decided to do with German TV promo. Perhaps even put in a good word for Daz Studio! Per kruse: "Sorry for being angry at Poser 5. No, we didn't discussed big bugs in Poser 5, because (psst) we made our show with Poser 4." I would have to say that this pretty much sums it up. I want to thank Joe, Daniel, and Matthias for making me even more confident in waiting for Daz Studio, sticking to Poser Pro 4 and not purchasing Poser 5.

Maybe CL should hire some outside programmers who are not inbred and can fix P5.

Info: No problem. Glad I could help. DAZ is a great bunch of guys. I'm sure they will appreciate the business. Eric: CL should get outbred programmers? LOL...

Kruse: So it sounds like you are going to be on TV. This is awsome! Do you own your own company? If so... wow, what great exposure for you. I would look forward to hearing how the documentary turned out. Sorry that this thread got hijacked. All the best, Joe www.3-AXIS.com

Hey kruse, that's cool news :) Looking forward to it. Did they give you a precise date and time the clip would be on?

Hi Joe and bennett, some days before we had won a competion. Pro7 was looking for the best Poser-anim. A one minute clip as basic. At the end of voting we got the price. As special feature Pro7 was coming to us. They made a short docu in 'how to make a movie with Poser'. So we did it. Daniel and I gave hints and tips. This docu doesn't address to our comunity directly, because this docu isn't very technical. It's more a sweet for all beginners or common beginners. Our most important goal was to introduce renderosity to the team. We think renderosity is a totally must for all 3D-artists (not only Poser!!!). We made a quick tour through our forum, free stuff and marketplace. They were impressed about the possibility to create 3D-Meshes in RayDream and set them to live in rederosity or Bryce. They were not very trained in this matter, because Stefanie (a vey beautiful and powerful TV-editor) asked us to create a little model right now, as warming up in 5 minutes...... They are going to show this spot in two or three weeks on Pro7, Galileo. It was fascinating to see, how this people are making movies. Profesional equippment all you can see. Kindest Regards to you both Daniel + Matthias
