I just got a very good deal on Painter 8, and then noticed a better deal on Bryce, so bought that too. Then checked the thread here. I don't know any Painter rumors, but the Bryce story is pretty sad. If Corel does not find a buyer, any notion about Corel licensing Bryce under GPL?

Doubt it. If Corel goes down, it will probably be by being bought out completly. I believe the company that is interested is called Vector or Venture Capital. They have some negotiations going on. AS
