Make your knights look like they've been through an adventure. They can't always be in shining armor and even the holiest of Paladins have to get their hands dirty! This is a texture and props pack for the RDNA Gothic Armor for Mike and Vicki. The armor has been brilliantly designed and mapped by Traveler to utilise the same templates so textures can be used on either or both. Combining realism and fantasy, this texture set ensures that your knight looks his/her best but at the same time shows the wear and tear of someone who's been on quests! Four disctinct designs are provided but with the possibility of mixing and matching you can combine them to achieve your own unique look.

The first two sets have the same base metal but one is decorated while the other shows the signs of battles fought.

A more fantasy flavour can be had with the third set, ideal for the not-so-virtuous knight - perfect for your darker characters!

And when circumstances call for something unique or for special appearances at the Royal Court, this fourth set will be ideal.

Finally, as a special bonus, three props are included that will complete the look of your adventuring knights! A heraldic shield complete with four textures, an ivory-handled mace and a two-handed sword (Zweihander). So, let the adventure begin!

Wow these are something.....you see I would have looked terrible back in those times....flat shoes, no platform at all....and the sword, I don't think I could have lifted that...well enough about me....this is one quite amazing pack...good work, I am truly impressed. Sharen

Heh, yep Sharen, a woman would really have to have brawn to lift that sword, they were almost human size! That's why I gave her the mace - she could just sneak up behind them and give them a good whack on the head :)) You know even wearing a suit of mail is effort enough, I made one for myself but the few times I wore it I was exhausted!

Thanks everyone! Eric, this is just a texture set with the three props shown for the Gothic Armor, also available at RDNA for both Mike and Vicki, so no, it's not standalone.

It's a beautiful texture package John! Traveler's Gothic Armor has been among my favorites for a long time, thanks for adding such fantasitc options to it!

hehe I have one of those swords hanging on my wall, next to the computer. Weighs over three pounds. I've hefted some mail shirts, also, out of curiousity ... about 25-30 pounds. It wouldn't be so bad if the weight was evenly distributed, but I understand that it all hangs from the shoulders.

Little Dragon: I've worn a few maille shirts in my time. About 25-30 pounds means it likely was little more than a byrnie - sort of a "sleeveless t-shirt" made of maille. A full Hauberk for a normal build man of average height, using 5/16" links of 16 guage wire (roughly the average historical proportions) would weigh closer to 40-50 lbs. And normally, the weight is distributed on the shoulders, across the front of the chest, and on the hips (especially if it's belted). So I, for example, can still do cartwheels and diving rolls in my chainmail byrnie -> 26 lbs of 14 guage wire with 1/4" links, considerably tighter links of thicker wire than historically average.
