Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
Btw, I've had Poser 3 on a 3D World mag disc for a while and decided to install it the other day just to see what it can and can't do. I just did a quick test, and if you convert the JPG speaker texture map to BMP or TIF (which even Windows Paint can do) and apply it to the "mouth" material zone (also convert it to BUM and use it as a bump map), this guy will work just fine in P3. You'll get the "newer version number" message when you load him the first time, but he will load, and you'll want to resave him with the converted maps applied anyway, which will eliminate that problem. I'd have set him up for P3 from the start, but I haven't really had a chance to take it for a spin yet. In fact, I didn't realize until now that it couldn't use JPGs. But anyway, with just a little effort, this figure works fine in P3, too.:)

In honor of my new "Droid Pack 1" figure set in the Marketplace, I'm offering a free droid figure to anyone who wants it.:) It's a much more basic figure than the ones in the set, but it can still be a lot of fun to play with.;) It's available on my Renderosity Home Page from now until the end of June (or until my bandwidth runs out, whichever comes first).
