Yay, the cartoon TV didn't win.

Well, to be fair to the PTB, they did announce beforehand that the contest was going to be a fraud. At least they kept to their word. Sad to say, ignoring the clear choice of the community doesn't surprise me one bit. It just squashes another part of the pleasure of being here. I wonder what happened to that warm fuzzy sense of community I used to get around this site. Maybe it's gone somewhere else.

Havent seen the winner yet, and It's a shame it wasn't the cartoon TV - that was my favourite, but nonetheless, don't be arseholes and slag the winner off - whether you or I like it is not important, but have some respect for the person who did win and don't insult them!

I completely forgot about this contest. I was even going to enter - my memory is total crap. I like the winning entry, it's very well done. Now the site needs to be redesigned to match!

(Professional representation of Renderosity!) Where? Art? (Representation of this community feel) Missed that one. More to a PC Tech Site, not an Artist site. It is a great Logo, No slag or insults here! Has nothing to do with the designer. Yet tell me out the top 25 if there were none that fit those parameters better. When reading those Expectations of the Contest Mods, then designing a logo to fall into those parameters...Hmmm, If they had said Design it for a tech site, Slam,here ya go. Even the one with Paint cans spilled over and a brush and Ring from a camera, and a poser. Fit all aspects, great color and professional looking. Well Some one had to... Win?

like the Logo just fine - if thats what they are after - I dont get any kind of "Feeling" from it if you know what I mean - ICM I agree very TEchnial looking - very excellent in fact - but I would of gone more with an "artsy fartsy" Look. by the way - all the logos were really great in my opinion roch222 and Drac - you crack me up - are you a sore loser???LOL

I have seen it now, and it causes me no offence - nicely executed graphic, professionally done. There were far more quality entries that I would have expected to be honest, and equally there were far too many rehashes of the current set - I would have gone with something a little more arty or individual dor my own tastes, but respect to the winner! :)

I like the colors, neutral with a punch, it was very well executed, and I agree, not very art oriented, got no 'feeling' from it at all, no 'art community' feel anyway, however, I respect the artist who won, more power to them....

Hope they're not going to use that gray background.

You can always change the colour scheme to suit your tastes anyway - mine has been neutral greys since before the last logo was in place! :)

Nothing against the winner; it's a smart and skillful piece of work but it doesn't grab me and I think it will look dated very quickly (as soon as the current Matrix-mania is over, in fact). My problem is with the transparently dishonest 'community vote'. It would have been more convincing if the PTB had chosen from our top 5. But our top 25? Come on. That's basically saying, "We'll let you think you're getting a choice whereas all you're really doing is dumping the majority for us." The community says, "Hey, let's have a funky fun feel to the place." The PTB says, "OK. Industrial-dystopian it is then." Like I said above, typical.
