Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 19 10:33 am)
Hmm, making a search for JCM rendered a list of messages and reading thru them it seems like it is being used just not the way I would have thought of. In NERD's EMC tutorial he says you can pose the figure and the muscle morphs can respond to the rotations in the joints. That's what I'm talking about. The Millenium figures don't seem prep with JCM in a way were if you contract the joints the muscles will flex.
V3 does use them. It just isn't obvious. Mike 3 will do whatever V3 does more than likely. Anton Daz3d Platinum CLub

As Anton said, all the major joints have 'em, DAZ did a super job on them too, which is why she poses so much better than original Vickie. That and the inovative way the joints are cut. I don't know this for a fact, but I'm looking at the details (as I tend to do) leads me to think that Mike's CR2 (not mesh, the CR2) begat Stephanie's, which begat Vickie III's, and that might begat Mike III's, going full circle!
Will Michael 3 use JCM's? If the joints need them, yes. Victoria 3 does use JCM's... because, though we spent a lot of time changing the grouping and tweaking the joints themselves, the JCM's are needed to correct deformation in the mesh around the joint (or add more deformation in a specific area) to achieve a look we were comfortable with. Will Michael 3 flex when the associated joint is operated? I don't see it as being all that likely because there are cases when, though a joint is operated, you really wouldn't see the muscle flex (or depending on the intensity of the flex, the automation wouldn't be near enough... so you'd have to manually adjust it anyway). There are certainly pros and cons to either side of that argument, be it for or against. I will say, however, that it is quite possible to create a pose that injects the information required for what you want to accomplish. No promises... (not at this stage anyway) As for whether Steph's cr2 begat Vic3's... it'd be kind of neat to go full circle like that, but no. V3's cr2 began as a "BLANK" V2 cr2... but, advancements made in each successive figure are likely to get rolled into the next. ;) -Rob

>>I will say, however, that it is quite possible to create a pose that injects the information required for what you want to accomplish. No promises... (not at this stage anyway)>> That would be great. One of the things me and others have interest in was a "Hulk" type fullbody morph target for Michael. Konan, the creator of Extreme Morph 3D tried to morph Mike into those proportions on an online demo here but he ran some trouble with the joint parameters in the hands area. I hope you guys get to see the Hulk movie before you finish the Michael 3 project so you can get some ideas. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=834908This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Will Michael 3 finally make use of Joint Controlled Morphs (JCM)? Vicky 3 doesn't seem to use this yet. Is DAZ planning to finally use this on Michael 3, seems like the ideal format to animate a muscular 1 thru 4 figure.
