Subject: Duplicating materials in Poser - just checking

Let's say I have a model with a left boot and a right boot. I open the materials editor in Poser, and find the main material for the left boot, which say for example is called "leather". I change the ambient colour, highlight colour, highlight strength, etc to what I want. Now I want to duplicate this material for the right boot. So far as I know, there is no simple way to do this in Poser, at least, not in Poser 4 anyway. Is there something basic I've missed? Is the problem the same in Poser 5?

No easy way in Poser 4, short of MAT poses. In Poser 5's Material Room, you can simply call up the leather material, Select All and Copy, then Paste onto the second boot's leather material.

In Poser 5 you can click on your mat ,than " select all" , "copy" select the other part of the obj and paste. And all is copied to the new part

there used to be a bug that would do it for you in poser 4.01 for the mac--if you changed a setting for one material, and IMMEDIATELY did a "pop-down" to a similar material setting, the changes would follow.

Well, at least that's SOMETHING they fixed in Poser 5 ;}

loraxxx - thats not a bug ... its an 'undocumented feature'
