I'm working on this model for a picture and would like some feedback on it. I think it looks okay, but it's off somewhere... As far as it goes, this is one of the first SERIOUS attempts at modelling something (and learning Rhino in the process ... :) Unfortunately, I can't afford the regular version right now. Otherwise, it's really easy to use and all... :)

Hummm.... So far so good. When you made this in rhino did you use the grids to help you with the size and scale? It some how looks out of perportion(sp) I don't have one as a referance so I could be way off here: Maybe the base is to small? And the steam is to long? Just some thoughts.

Hmmm... I'm just learning Rhino, so .... didn't know about the grids. I'll try messing with it. Now all I have to do is figure out how to resize something w/o screwing it up ... :)

You should ask about Rhino stuff in the Rhino forum. I am there many times in a day. When you say resize do you mean in Bryce or Rhino?

Actually, I think the term I'm looking for in Rhino is scaling ... :) Thanks! I'll check over at the Rhino forum when I get a chance. John

Did you use a profile curve and revolve or did you make circles and loft them to make the glass? I ask this because There are different ways to scale it. If you used a profile curve (the way I would do it) you can change the look by turning on coutrol points for the curve and then move each one to get the right profile.

Hmmm.... Maybe I'll just recreate the model this way ... :) I'd just created 2 circles and lofted them. Something to think about.
